  It is with great pleasure that I have officially announced my intention to seek re-election to the Washington County, Florida, School Board District 5 seat.
I am very proud of the accomplishments that have been made during the twelve years I have served on the Washington County School Board.
However, credit must be given where it is due, and the real credit for our success is the dedicated teachers, administrators and support personnel that serve our students.
From the day I was first elected to represent the people of Washington County, I have never forgotten that this position belongs to the people and I have strived to represent your interests as taxpayers, your interests as parents and your interests as concerned members of this great community.
No school system is perfect. While we have made great accomplishments with new schools, new programs, academic success and technical education enhancements, I realize we still have lots of work to do. We need stronger discipline, we need respect for authority, we need stronger values and most importantly we need parental involvement. The job is not complete and we must work together to make Washington County the school system of choice.
I make only one pledge to the voters of Washington County. I will always do what I believe is right, fair, honest and in the best interest of the children of Washington County. Your support and consideration would be greatly appreciated.
