Employed with West Florida Electric Cooperative since 1988. Currently serving as Vice President of Member Services. Responsible for all marketing, communications, public relations and governmental affairs for the cooperative in Washington, Holmes, Jackson and Calhoun County.
Gary’s interest in the public school system began more than 15 years ago serving as a school advisory council chairman and as a Key Club advisor. Soon after Gary ran for public office and was elected to the Washington County School Board and one of his most notable missions was the implementation of the first project graduation program in Washington County.
Gary has a tremendous record when it comes to civic duty serving in numerous capacities and volunteering in community activities for over 17 years. These positions have included :

Gary was appointed By Gov. Bush in 1999 to the Chipola College District Board of Trustees and has served in numerous roles on the Chipola College Board including Chairman of the Board. Gary has strived in this role to help facilitate enhance opportunities for Washington County students in dual enrollment programs, technical center articulation and to increase the participation in the community college program.
Gary’s knowledge of the legislative process and his advocacy in Tallahassee have been incredibly valuable to the citizens of Washington County. From his roundtable education meetings with Gov. Bush, Lt. Gov. Education Commissioner Brogran, Commissioner Crist and Commissioner Gallagher, Clark has continually advocated for equity and enhancements for rural school systems. |
